Requirements
- BS in Manufacturing OR Mechanical Engineering
- Established SolidWorks & AutoCAD experience
- Minimum 5 years job experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of metal working machines
(mills/punches/lathes)
- Familiarity with designing aluminum extrusions
is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Product development including UL standards testing
- Maintain existing Product
- Design aluminum extrusions
- Creating Bills of Material for all assemblies
& sub-assemblies
- Creating 2-D drawings (Auto CAD) for customer review
and approval
- Creating 3-D models and detailed drawings (SolidWorks 2011)
of existing products and future products
- Creating manufacturing drawings & manuals for shop personnel.
- Work in group setting in which ideas are thrown around for best possible solution.
- Report to Engineering Manager with weekly and/or daily progress.

Current Projects
- UL400 Smoke Rating for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) manual sliding door.
- Certified Blast Proof door (includes product design & testing)
- Merging of old and new designs for telescoping door series
- Various enhancements to existing designs
